Fallout 76’s new Burning Springs update is packed with locations inspired by Amazon’s Fallout season 2, so you don’t have to just play New Vegas to keep the good times going

I am fully immersing myself in the Fallout universe every day, watching the TV show’s second season, replaying Fallout: New Vegas, and playing Fallout 76. It seems like I can’t escape thinking about VATS even when I close my eyes. This seems to be a common experience for fans right now, especially those who are enjoying the second season and want to experience it firsthand. While New Vegas has the most accurate in-game locations, Fallout 76 also has some great references to the show in the latest Burning Springs update.

The Burning Springs update expanded the map with a new Ohio wasteland area, featuring the Rust King’s domain, an abandoned traveler hub, and giant plastic dinosaurs. The area takes inspiration from Fallout 3 and New Vegas, evident in locations like abandoned Athens and the Rust Kingdom. Dino Peaks mini golf pays tribute to Dinky the T.Rex, but with a more dangerous feel due to Deathclaw threats. The Red Rocket chain is present as The Chop Shop, a raider outpost. Highway Town offers encounters with Walton Goggins’ The Ghoul, who offers bounty hunts. This new area provides a thrilling experience for Fallout 76 players looking to explore the Wasteland further.
